I've had a fancy for Belgium for some time.
Their up-and-coming talent should be ripening in time to make a real impact in the Euro 2012 qualifiers.
Unfortunately, having Germany in their group, it makes it more than a little tricky to back them with any conviction other than securing a top-two spot.
So, against my better judgement, I'm trying to put my theory to the test in a trivial friendly tonight.
The Belgians are 2/1 to win in Finland, hardly a generous price for an away win in an international, but I genuinely believe they're going to enjoy a resurgence over the next few years.
Whether this will include storming to victory in a match that means nothing is open to debate but I'm sticking a few quid on them with Ladbrokes.
