Mardy Fish - the puntinplay selection for the ATP 500 in Tokyo - has made it through to the third round where he will meet Bernard Tomic.
The American looks to have maintained the good form he established on the US swing and if he beats the young Aussie there is a potential match up with Nadal in the last four. Fish did of course beat Nadal in Canada during his hot spell in August.
He should prove too strong for Tomic and should be backed accordingly.
