Grands Crus is proving very weak with StanJames.com ahead of the World Hurdle on day three of the Cheltenham Festival.
"Grands Crus is one of our strong fancies this weak, so we were hoping he would do us a favour and beat our World Hurdle bogey Big Buck's," said StanJames.com spokesman Garry McGibbon. "The trouble is he's friendless. As things stand Grands Crus will be a cracking result for us if he wins, but we certainly seem to be alone in fancying him."
He's currently 3-1 with SJ but can be backed at 4s with bet365. An each-way steal in my opinion.
In other market news, StanJames.com report plenty of each-way interest in the 2.05 Pertemps Final, a race in which the online firm are paying five places. Michael Flips and the 2010 Grand National winner Don't Push It have proved particularly popular, both being cut from 33/1 to 20/1.
StanJames.com have also taken a pounding on their Happy Hour horse, Wishfull Thinking, who they opposed in the opener at Cheltenham, the Jewson Novices' Chase and went 4-1 between 11-12.
He is now back into 3s after bucket loads of cash was poured on at 4s.
Loosen My Load, tipped up in several plaes this morning at 8/1, is also being widely cut ahead of the Jewson and is as short as 6s in places
Victor Chandler will certainly be one firm hoping that he is beaten as they have one punter just one win away from taking £153,000 off them in a treble - Sizing Europe and Sizing Australia are already in for the punter who staked 100 euros on the bet in Ireland.
Elsewhere puntinplay selectiosn Beautiful Sound and Junior have attracted plenty of support..
Beautiful Sound, who was advised at 8s for the Byrne Group Plate (4.00) is now a top priced 7s with bet365 and Hills but as short as 6-1 with many firms, whilst Junior is as short as 9-2 for the Kim Muir (4.40) after being heavily backed at the advised 11-2.
