The standings after day two of the Ebor top jockey market sees Kieren Fallon installed a red hot 8/13 favourite by Skybet to take top riding honours on the Knavesmire.
Fallon’s double on The Fonz in the opener for old boss Sir Michael Stoute and New Planet in the Listed Roses Stakes for John Quinn yesterday took him into a narrow lead with three winners in total.
The Irishman is now one ahead of Ebor-winning jockey Jamie Spencer (11/4) and Frankie Dettori (4/1), who are both tied on two winners after riding a winner apiece on day two of the meeting.
Fallon has five booked rides today including Acrostic for his boss Luca Cumani in the Addleshaw Goddard Handicap and last race 9/2 favourite Hoof it in the 5f sprint for the local yard of Tim Easterby.
Matt Doyle of Sky Bet said: ‘Kieren’s tactical awareness saw him stick like glue to the stands’ rail yesterday and he is riding at the very top of his game with two days to go and a strong book of rides to stay in front.’
