On the 21st November Sunderland added Arsenal to the list of “top four” sides who had to order from the losers menu at the Stadium of Light this season. Amazingly that was the last time the Black Cats won in the Premier League.
The fourteen match run without three points has included a high percentage of draws (50%) but has resulted in the side having yet another argument with relegation this year, when at one stage they were checking passports for a potential European campaign. Needless to say confidence is low and the Sunderland faithful are not renowned for their patience during the ninety minutes if things start to go wrong.
Bolton under Coyle are starting to improve and the win at West ham on Saturday was the first road trip victory in the Premiership for the ex-Burnley boss. It also consolidated their position in the league as a result of back to back victories. Generally speaking they have performed well against teams in a similar position to themselves, with the possible exception of a 3-0 thrashing against Blackburn.
At puntinplay we don't see many goals on the menu tonight, Sunderland haven't scored more than one goal at home since a 2-2 draw with West ham in October and Bolton only average a goal a game on the road, and whilst at 3.9 Bolton look over priced we think the draw at 3.4 with Skybet is the investment.
