Dragon's Roost looked a smart prospect when scoring on his bumper debut, and is strongly fancied to get back on the winning trail in the finale at Fontwell (5.10).
Gary Moore's five-year-old could not have been more impressive when absolutely scooting up on the bridle at the Berkshire track, and was made favourite for a Grade 2 event on a return to the course on the back of that win.
However he weakened tamely to finish 7th of 11 to Paul Nicholls' Champion Bumper hope Al Ferof, and was subsequently found to have lost a shoe.
It's therefore easy to forgive him for that effort, and the form and manner of his debut win sets a very high standard in this line-up.
He has to give weight away all round today, but it will be disappoiting if he does not have the class to do so.
I thought he would have been odds-on, so at around odds-against he looks decent value.
