The punt in play pre-race tip for the Dutch Premier League, FC Twente, have just gone two points clear at the top of the Eredivisie. The team, managed by Steve McClaren, have now played nine games, wining seven and drawing two. Whilst not as prolific as Ajax they have bagged seventeen goals and only conceded seven. Yet the current prices are only marginally shorter than when we first put Twente up for the Championship.
The reason for this is that the market is dominated by PSV and Ajax. This does create value and we think we need to move in again at the 5/1 on offer this morning. Four of FC Twente next five games will be played at home, where they established a fortress last year and have secured ten points from a possible twelve so far this season. One of the games is against Ajax and they also take on AZ. If they finish this passage of play their unbeaten record still intact we think the boys in blue will have to start taking FC Twente a bit more seriously.
