Nikolay Davydenko caused a major upset this afternoon when he knocked out Fedex in three sets. It was a great performance given he stayed up late in Friday before beating Robin Soderling.
Tonight we have puntinplay.com favourite Del boy Potro against the the Swede. Juan Martin is the favourite but we think it will be very close. Both players hit the ball hard and it will be a game of few chances.
Soderling has played really well this week and he has a chance of playing Volgograd man again on Sunday.
They are both quick starters and a tie break is on the cards for the first set. There is nothing in the head to head stats as they have only played each other twice and the score is level. Given the nature of the game we think the Swede can win on the handicap at +2.5 games. He is generally a 5/6 shot but is bigger on Betfair.
The first set has every chance of going to a tie break, so correct score pundits should bear this in mind.
