Zemsky caused a 33-1 surprise when taking advntage of Baby Run's fall at the second last to run out the wide margin winner of the Christie's Foxhunter Chase.
It was the second winner of the week for crack Irish amateur Derek O'Connor, but Ian Ferguson's gelding may well have been a fortunate winner.
The 3-1 favoruite Baby Run, who had led from the drop of the flag, was just over two lengths up at the penultimate fence but put down when young Willie Twiston-Davies asked him for a big one.
To be fair to Willlie the horse seemed to meet the fence on a perfect stride, and in my opinion he was in no way to blame for the partnership parting company.
Quite understandly the 16-year-old was in tears after the race as his family tried to console him.
In the end it was left to 100-1 outside Mid Div And Creep to chase home Zemkey, with Oscar Delta (25-1) running on to grab third.
