The David Pipe banker of the meeting Junior landed an almighty gamble in style when winning the Kim Muir by 24 lengths.
The puntinplay selection - advised this morning at 11-2 - was backed off the boards into 100-30 fav and was given a superb ride by Jamie Codd.
Always up in the van, the gelding looked to have plenty to do at the top of the hill as Irish challenger Deal Done kicked into a clear lead seemingly going well.
But Codd did not panic. He took a look behind and realised that he still had plenty of horse underneath him.
He then set the 8-year-old gelding alight three from home to eat into the deficit, and after jumping the second last upsides Deal Done galloped effotless clear to send punters home happy.
His stable companion Faasel (20-1) ran on well to grab second, with Deal Done (20-1) just hanging on for thir ahead of Jojnjo O'Neill's running on Galaxy Rock (18-1)
