Big Bucks is a top priced 5-4 to retain his World Hurdle crown after laughing at his rivals in the Long Distance Hurdle at Newbury.
Ruby Walsh was having his arms pulled out a long way from home as Tom Scudamore and Lough Derg adopted their usual trail blazing tactics.
The gallant front runnerkicked five lengths for home rounding the home turn, but as Scudamore took a look behind to see how his rivals were travelling he would have been gobsmacked to see Ruby sitting motionless on the eventual winner.
He was not having to move a muscle on the 2-5 favourite who pulled his way to the front and scooted clear on a tight rein on the run-in to win without breaking sweat.
He was cut across the board for Cheltenham by worried bookmakers as he passed the post, with Paddy Power going the shortest at 4-6 and Ladbrokes a stand out best of 5-4.
He already looks an absolute banker to land a second World Hurdle, and that 5-4 with Laddies will not last long. Get in now and snap it up!
Recommended bet: 10pts win Big Bucks – World Hurdle (5-4 Ladbrokes)
