The chances of there being a White Christmas have increased according to Betfair customers, who have reacted to the wintery conditions by putting their money behind snow falling on the 25th.
The odds on a White Christmas Day in Manchester have shortened to 7-4, while Scots will also be buoyed by the news that the odds on those in Glasgow and Edinburgh enjoying their turkey with the snow now stand at 13-8 and 6-4 respectively.
But while citizens of the aforementioned cities may have a fairytale Christmas morning to show for their travel travails, Londoners aren’t set to be so lucky, with the chances of a White Christmas in the Capital looking less likely at odds of 7-2.
Betfair spokesman Ari Last said: “Hopes of a White Christmas in the UK do seem to be snowballing and with Christmas approaching and the snow showing no sign of abating, our customers are putting more and more money on the white stuff greeting them as they wake on Friday morning.”
