Victor Chandler cut Chris Ashton from 66s to 20/1 for the 2011 Sports Personality of the Year and from 33s to 16s to be top World Cup try scorer after his four tries in yesterday afternoon’s RBS Six Nations International with Italy giving him six already in two matches.
VC spokesman Charlie McCann said: “Six tries in 2 internationals in a World Cup year is a wonderful start for Ashton and English rugby and whilst he may give Martin Johnson a few grey hairs with his swallow dive celebrations he has certainly caught the public’s imagination and looks a certainty to break the record of 6 tries in a Six Nations season.”
