Arcano's owner Hamdan Al Maktoum will decide next week whether his unbeaten Group 1 winner will have a prep race for the StanJames.com 2,000 Guineas or head straight to Newmarket for which he is a top priced 14-1 with the sponsors.
Speaking from Leicester, having ridden Arcano in work beforehand, his retained jockey Richard Hills told the Racing Post: "Arcano worked over seven furlongs this morning, and he was led by Cat Junior in company with Mr David. He joined up nicely when asked and worked well.
"I will go down again on Monday or Tuesday. Sheikh Hamdan is arriving on Monday, and he will then decide - with regards to a trial - whether he has a run or goes straight for the 2,000 Guineas."
Arcano is trained by Brian Meehan, and was last seen when winning the Darley Prix Morny last August from Special Duty.
