We hit the post with this game first time around, when Palace led twice only to be pegged back by Mick McCarthy's team. Tonight with the club in financial crisis we think Palace can finish off the job.

The current plight of the Palace has been well documented and they have had to make a couple of pre-deadline fire sales this week but under charismatic boss Neil Warnock the Championship side can turn the negative into a footballing positive. At 2.62 with Skybet we fancy them to go through and face Villa.
Palace have a fair home record. They lost two of their first three at home in August and early September but since then they have only lost one of nine home games played. Danny Butterfield the right back will again play up front and Warnock is likely to go with the side that beat Peterborough 2-0 on Saturday, with the exception of any cup tied players.
McCarthy of course will play about with his selection and no doubt would prefer if this game wasn't taking place. He is aware that Palace maybe strengthened by adversity and commented in his press conference about Warnock's side -
"He will use this `all the world's against them' to get them fighting against us and knowing that the prize is a game against Aston Villa, which would mean money in the coffers. So it would help their cause if they were to win."They will be like a wounded animal, without any doubt. They had a good win at the weekend [2-0 against Peterborough] when their problems didn't seem to bother them. Being seen as the underdog and having a lot of problems just makes you fight harder.''
At puntinplay we think it all points to a win for Palace.
