Romford, Monday.
We are back in the groove with our greyhound selections, landing two from three at Romford last night, courtesy of Baran Pimlico at 2/1 and Ballymac Rumble at Evens, with the double paying a handsome 5/1. In yesterday's preview I said that Baran Pimlico would improve for his look at the track, and he certainly did, in recording a flying 35.39 which puts Lorraine Sams' charge bang in contention for the Champion Stakes over the same 575m trip. Ballymac Rumble is another to consider as he was having his first look at Romford last night, when he romped to victory in a smart 35.61. Our third selection Centurion Enry finished third, but look out for his next outing as he was unlucky in running in his first run after a lay off.
Monmore Festivals, Monday.
Magna Buddy reached Friday's 416m final after finding plenty of trouble, but showing great pace and determination to assert up the home straight. He has a better draw in trap 4 in the final, for which he is now a best priced 6/4 favourite. We advised snapping up the 7/2 with Coral. He will definitely improve for yesterday's run, and you can forget the pedestrian clocking, as you had to see it to believe how he overcame a nightmare passage throughout.
England Expects was our selection in the 630m competition, but he missed the break and was never a factor, much like England in the World Cup!
