Laurels Final 9.45
From our two ante post selections we have yet again got a finalist in Elwick Chris, advised ante post each way first four at 20/1. He is now a best priced 10/3! With his style of running any trouble or crowding (which, given the way the draw has panned out looks likely) will aid his chances. He can avoid the trouble and finish off the final bend to land the odds for us.
8.15,470m - Andy Clarke's Milly Marina looks worth a punt here at 9/2 with Stan James and VC. She can get first run on those on her outside, and although Sniper Petra may lead up from trap 1, I expect Milly to be on the case at the third bend and land the spoils. She had a decent trial here and can improve for that look at the track.
9.10, 590m - Jimmy Wright could have a profitable evening, and his England Expects can be backed at 11/8 with Hills. He could go off odds on. Therefore I make him Nap material. Back to form over 660m at Sheffield on Sky last time out, he should relish the short run to the bend, and if coming away should lead his rivals a merry dance over this trip. He beat the useful Wilfy Wells in a two bend trial last week.
