Aidan Coleman, who is due to partner last year's winner Mon Mome in the John Smith's Grand National on Saturday, was taken to hospital after a fall from Double Handed in the Matalan Anniversary 4-Y-O Novices' Hurdle.
Coleman sustained a kick to the stomach when he was unseated by his mount at the first, but managed to walk into the ambulance.
