Uncle Timmy was a massive eye-catcher last time out and at 9/2 looks the standout bet at Catterick today (2.30).
John Quinn's gelding went into my notebook as a sure fire future winner when an incredibly unlucky in running sixth of 15 to Look Here's Lady over 5f at Beverley.
Nothing went right for him that day as he stumbled badly two from home when making good headway from the rear and then encountered traffic problems before staying on well to be beaten just under four lengths.
He also had the worst of the draw in stall 17, whereas the winner had the perfect pitch in stall 3.
To my mind he would have won with a smooth passage, and granted better luck in-running this afternoon I fully expect him to turn the tables with Look Here's Lady.
The handicapper has also given him a huge chance by dropping him a further 4lb to a mark of just 50, and he has got to take all the beating from such a lowly rating.
He is also far better drawn today in stall 1, and the 9/2 on offer looks more than fair as I actually had him priced up as clear favourite for this at around the 7/2 mark on my tissue.
Recommended bet: 3pts win Uncle Timmy (9/2 generally available - BOG firms)
