Tanktastic races off a career low handicap mark in the 4.40 at Fontwell, and looks worth an interest at 7-1 in a weak looking contest.
The eight-year-old is yet to win over the obstacles, but has shown enough in a couple of low grade staying handicaps to suggest he is capable of picking up a race of this nature.
After competing in some decent bumpers back in 2007, against the likes of Big Eared Fran and Hold Em, he ran in some hot novice events and although failing to trouble the judge ended up being given a rating of 88.
That obviosuly flattered him greatly, and it was not until he was cut some slack and dropped to a mark of 73 that he showed his first real form in finishing third on two occasions when atrracting notable market support.
The ever so kind handicapper did not take lightly to his improved showing and duly bumped him back up another couple of pounds to virtually end any hopes of him getting his head in front.
But he has now finally relented again, and Tanktastic gets into today's contest off a mark of just 70 for his new connections.
Given the fact that a change in scenary often brings about a bit of improvement, now could be the time catchy Tanktastic and with bottom weight he could be potentially chucked in if the move to Paul Hedger's has worked the oracle.
Recommended bet: 3pts each-way Tanktastic (7-1 generally available)
