A lot of the players go into this weeks 3 Irish Open in a bad run of form, including many of the main contenders. Two golfers who are in pretty decent form are the Northern Irish pair of Rory Mcilroy and Darren Clarke. Clarke seems to have relished the return to the British Isles, with great finishes at Loch Lomond and St Andrews and with the added confidence of recieving an invite to the US PGA in a fortnights time. He will have high hopes of playing his way into Captain Monty's Ryder Cup team.
Rory Mcilroy is also in good form having put in 3 good rounds in The Open, but his performances in the Irish Open aren't anything to write home about and the 13/2 which is available isn't tempting at all. So the nod has to go to Clarke, who is readily available at 35/1.
