Previous good form at the course has proved essential in finding the winner of this novice staing event which has been run just six times.
Three of the last five winners had won at Cheltenham, and four of the six winners to date had run at least twice on the course before.
The Hyde Novices’ Hurdle, won this season by Champion Court, has been one of the best trials with three of the six winners having ran well in the contest.
