Mazagee is a filly with a progressive profile and looks solid each-way value at 17/2 in the finale at Salisbury (5.30).
David Lanigan's lightly raced daughter of Muhtathir showed improved form when slamming Record Breaker by just under four lengths at Lingfield last month off a mark of 74, and followed that up with a solid second to the fast improving Fire Fighter at Wolverhampton off a 6lb higher mark.
She was unlucky to bump into such a well treated rival that day, and alhtough no match for the winner was not knocked about once it was clear she would not be winning and finished just over 3 lengths clear of the third despite being eased in the closing stages.
That form looks solid in the context of this contest, and despite being raised a further 2lb by the assessor it's hard to believe that there is not further improvement left in the locker.
If that's the case then she must take all the beating in this, and the 17/2 available looks very generous.
Recommended bet: 2pts each-way Mazagee (17/2 Boylesports - BOG)
