Webbow makes plenty of each-way appeal at 14/1 in the 3.50 at Ascot.
Mark Campion's gelding has been in the form of his life this season, and after landing a valuable prize over today's trip of 7f at the Glorious Goodwood meeting - where he had several of today's rivals behind - ran a blinder of his revised mark to finish runner-up to the well treated Eton Rifles when returned to the Sussex track last time out.
He looked the likely winner that day when hitting the front inside the furlong pole, but was unable to match the winners' turn of foot close home and was eventually beaten a length.
The handicapper has put him up another 2lb to a career high mark of 97 for that effort, but he is still only 4lb highre than when scoring two starts ago and with everything in his favour as regards ground and trip it's very haed to see him not being involved at the business end of affairs.
The big field and strong gallop with certainly play to his strengths, and he will be plenty of assistance in the saddle from the highly talented irish jockey Shane Foley who has really impressed me this season.
There is no doubt that this valuable contest will require a personal best from Webbow, but he looks sure to run his usually solid race and looks cracking each-way value at 14s.
Recommended bet: 2pts each-way Webbow (14/1 generally available - BOG firms)
