The switch back to the all-weather surface looks sure to suit Eshoog and she looks overpriced at 12/1 in the 6.50 at Wolverhampton this evening.
Phil McEntee's filly was disappointing at Yarmouth last time out, but raced on the wrong side of the track and is better judged on her previous effort when collared close home over 6f at this track.
She led the field at a blistering pace that day and only got caught deep inside the final furlong after being ridden two lengths clear two from home and looking to have the race in the bag.
That was a solid effort, and given that she started life in handicaps off a mark of 76 this season she looks very well treated now off a mark of 63.
The drop back in trip to 5f will also play to her strengths, and this track clearly suits her as she was also runner-up on her only other visit when chasing home Mawjoodah off a mark of 69 back in August
Leonna Mayor, who has teamed up with her five times - winning once, and finishing runner-up on three occasions - also takes off another invaluable 7lb and clearly knows how to get a tune out of her.
Everything looks in place for a huge run, and the 12/1 on offer looks massive.
At those odds she looks terrific each-way value.
Recommended bet: 2pts each-way Eshoog (12/1 bet365, Victor Chandler - BOG)
