Accrington may have won their last four away games, but I can see that run grinding to a halt at
SHREWSBURY TOWN today, with Paul Simpson's in-form side the 11-10 pick with Blue Square to boost their automatic promotion hopes.
After losing 4-0 at Rochdale just before Christmas, Shrewsbury have turned their performances around, going unbeaten in five, with three wins and two draws, thanks mainly to the goals of Dave Hibbert who is looking to score for the sixth game running.
Their last four displays have been excllent, winning at Bradford and Shrewsbury, drawing at Burton and beating Dagenham & Redbridge at home and they are now nicely in their stride.
This will be Stanley's first trip away for five games – they have had four home matches preceded by four away games in what has been a bizarre schedule for John Coleman's over-achieving outfit. Considering they are unbeaten in six on the road in the League, including wins at Rochdale, Burton, Barnet, Notts County and Morecambe, I am taking something of a punt on them losing this, but as they say, all good things must come to an end.
Quite how ROTHERHAM are only 4-7 to beat Macclesfield at home is beyond me and that price should be gobbled up. The Millers are playing catch-up having had so many games being called off and they will have far too much quality for a Silkmen side who will defend at all costs at the Don Valley Stadium, such is boss Keith Alexander's way when they are on their travels.
You can get 5-11 on a NOTTS COUNTY win when they host Barnet. In their last two games, County have held Premier League side Wigan to a 2-2 draw and won 3-0 at Dagenham & Redbridge. Barnet are winless in 13, have lost nine on the road and have only scored three goals in their last eight trips away from Underhill. That's a tough one to call.
Northampton are an improving side, while Burton have won their last two games and this clash looks like being a stalemate all the way at 5-2, while LINCOLN are becoming a tough nut to crack and they are worth an investment at 15-8 to beat a Dagenham side who have suffered four defeats in five games. The Imps were unlucky to see their three-game winning streak end at Burton in midweek and they can bounce right back at Sincil Bank.
