Inga Bird ran a race full of promise on her bumper debut, and bookmakers appear to have got it wrong in pricing her up at 10-1 for the finale at Bangor-on-Dee today (5.20).
Henry Daly's five-year-old gelding beat all bar the heavily backed Irish raider Old McDonald at Ludlow, and the winner is being aimed at the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival where she will be ridden by Kieren Fallon.
The third home that day, Grafite, gave the form a solid look hen running a dcenet race at Chepstow last weekend, and given normal improvement Inga Bird will surely take all the beating.
I thought she swould have been about the 4-1 mark, so the 10-1 on offer looks terrific each-way value.
*Inga Bird is currently 10-1 with bet365 and Betfred
